Director of Business Development

Job Title: Director of Business Development

Reports to: Vice President of Business Development

Job Summary: PCTI is currently seeking a highly motivated sales professional to play a role in “go to market” strategies.  PCTI designs and manufactures equipment in response to the growing demand for power electronics in the highest power ranges.  PCTI has been addressing a new era in power electronics as applied to industrial equipment since 1991.  Our company needs the skills and expertise of an experienced Sales professional with a strong background in the development of new business clients, and superior service delivery that increases revenue and growth for our energy products.  We are overhauling our sales force, weeding out ineffective strategies and introducing more technologically sound policies. The successful candidate will be a team player implementing new techniques and strategies.  Our goal is to increase B2B and DOD revenue and position PCTI as the leading US manufacturer of power inverters, converters, chargers, and dischargers. We are looking for a creative professional who can both take and give direction. He or she will work closely with our Vice President of Business Development and President to achieve the desired metrics.

Responsibilities: 

  • Technical understanding of PCTI existing products, services, and capabilities
  • Accept existing clients in account management role to evaluate and needs and wants
  • Generate high-quality sales leads and follow up based on energy market experience
  • Create new sales and marketing strategies that target B2B customers and positions our products as the best solutions for prospective clients
  • Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive through digital channels
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to the PCTI team
  • Set and achieve sales goals and quotas on a monthly and quarterly basis

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or related field required
  • Previous sales experience required
  • 10+ years’ experience in the power / technology industry
  • Proven record of meeting sales or customer satisfaction goals
  • Prior sales experience in power inverters, converters, chargers, and dischargers a major consideration
  • Experience with government sales a plus
  • Familiarity with project development / management solutions a plus
  • Knowledge of Renewable Energy Federal / State / Local incentives a plus

Sales – Maritime Energy and Renewable Energy

Job Title: Sales – Maritime Energy and Renewable Energy

Reports to: Vice President of Business Development

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly motivated sales professional to join our Sales Organization with a focus on Maritime and Renewable Energy markets.

Responsibilities: 

  • Sell PCTI all products to various ports and maritime companies.
  • Generate new sales contacts as well as develop existing customers
  • Meet with potential customers and actively listen to their needs/concerns and conduct an evaluation of their current utility bill. Create an energy assessment and action plan for a clean energy transition.
  • Work with customers to make informed decisions regarding their energy agreements and energy cost management needs.

Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 – 5 years in EV, Maritime and/or Energy Storage sector 
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of all state incentives
  • Knowledge of EV Charger market, fast charging and charging / discharging
  • Proven record of meeting sales or customer satisfaction goals
  • Basic knowledge of port operations
  • Prior sales experience in the maritime/ports industry

Sales – Battery Chargers for Heavy Duty Electric Vehicles

Job Title: Sales – Battery Chargers for Heavy Duty Electric Vehicles

Reports to: Vice President of Business Development

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly motivated sales professional to join our Sales Organization with a focus on battery chargers for heavy duty electric vehicles, to include, trucks, buses and heavy vehicles, markets.

Responsibilities: 

  • Generate new sales contacts as well as develop existing customers
  • Meet with potential customers and actively listen to their needs/concerns and conduct an evaluation of their current utility bill. Create an energy assessment and action plan for a clean energy transition.
  • Work with customers to make informed decisions regarding their energy agreements and energy cost management needs.

Qualifications: 

  • At least three (5) years in EV or related fields 
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of all state incentives
  • Knowledge of EV Charger market, fast charging and charging / discharging
  • Proven record of meeting sales or customer satisfaction goals
